And that’s why I support cell phone cameras, they’re amazing developments, and the addition of very good editing and filter apps to the conversation as well. I have seen some absolutely spellbinding images on the internet that have been taken with cell phones. That is through my friends’ personal posts, as well as stock photography websites that other have sections for mobile photography, or our entire databases of mobile photography. Can you imagine that? If someone would have told you, I don’t know, 10-15 years ago that there would be entire stock photography sites that don’t include a single picture or photo from a conventional camera, and that you would hardly be able to tell the difference. Or, in some ways, the photos were more stylized? I don’t know that I would have. As a matter of fact, I’m quite certain that I wouldn’t have. In many ways it’s absurd, but, as a fan of Photography, and is a True Believer in its necessity and how essential it is for our cultures concepts of understanding itself, I really do think that this is a fantastic breakthrough in society, that everybody can be your practitioner photography, and that those who really care can make beautiful things with their phones. Without purchasing expensive lenses, or cameras, that this can be done with the same device that we do everything else on. These small pocket computers and mobile devices maybe, for me, the most surprising development of the last 20 years. Who would have imagined that it would have gone this far, when they were using their flip phone, maybe playing two dimensional, low-resolution game period now, everything to be done, including professional level photography. How about that?
